Hazel Hurley: Photography Perspective

With a Goldsmith education, numerous amounts of exhibition experience including Henley Festival, the dazzling Hazel Hurley has racked up some air miles whizzing to New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Milan Fashion Week shooting for the likes of Phillip Plein, Carine Roitfeld and Markus Lupfer. With more experience under her belt since her fashion week days, Hazel has been seen shooting for Instagram’s finest influencers, celebs including Chloe Jasmine and has released a plethora of books which showcase her incredible talents.

Much of Hazel’s inspiration comes from seeking new perspectives in order to see the world a little differently. Themes of voyeurism play a big part in the young photographer’s work as she uses her unique imagination in order to explore threads of youth, femininity and trauma to create insightful and high impact pieces. Using natural surroundings, Hazel showcases the female form both from the perspective of the male gaze and from that of other women and she introduces innovative man-made materials to either enhance or distort those viewpoints.

Hazel’s latest book “Hazel Hurley – Photography”, a beautiful coffee table book which showcases her creative spirit and offers a visual narrative on the male gaze, outward beauty, abuse, false beauty and sleep paralysis is currently available HERE.

Hazel is signed to London’s agency, Beautiful Crime and splits her time between Buckinghamshire, London and Los Angeles.
